How to Order Equipment for Your Event

Ordering Equipment

Princeton University is lucky to have most of the equipment that you will need for your event in house and available to rent through Building Services.  

  • Consult the item photo and rental fee guide to identify the equipment that you will need 

  • Visit the Facilities Service Request Form page and select “Event Support Services” 

  • Select “Submit New Event Support Order” 

  • Fill out the form 

  • Be prepared with an event chart string 

  • Provide a detailed description of any set up or breakdown needs 

  • Attach a floorplan if possible 

  • If you need to make changes after submitting your form you can do so by replying to your confirmation email. Make sure you reference the order confirmation number.  

Notes from Building Services 

  • Equipment must be ordered at least three (3) business days in advance of the requested delivery date 

  • NOTE: when you need items for a Saturday, Sunday or Monday event, order by the previous Wednesday 

  • It is very difficult, and at times impossible, to fill last-minute requests 

  • Event details change! It is usually not a problem if you contact us well before your event by simply replying to your confirmation email with changes 

  • NOTE: when changing orders for a Saturday, Sunday or Monday event, please notify us by Thursday 

  • Changes sent less than one business day prior to delivery may not be possible
