
Princeton University has seen an unprecedented increase in tent requests this semester. Realizing the desire for increased outdoor space while also considering the workload of Facilities and University Services staff, the University has decided to install 6 tents on campus from September 17th to October 31st. These spaces will be available to request in Event Management System. System of record for all space reservations on campus (including classes, exams, and events, conferences, meetings, etc.). scheduling system and come with a usage fee of $500.00. This fee will be used to offset the overall tent costs for the University while still reducing the typical tent costs that a department would incur.

Reservation Process
Tents will be available to request via the EMS scheduling system. Each location may be found under “Outdoor Spaces”. These spaces will be tent only reservations until October 31st. After your event is approved by a The Office of University Scheduling offers scheduling and event planning assistance to members of the University community. University Scheduling oversees the management of EMS scheduling system. representative you may proceed with your event as you normally would.
Tent Setup
Each tent will be equipped with lighting and power. All tents except for McDonnell Plaza will also include flooring. Event organizers will be responsible for arranging equipment rental and coordinating set up with the building services supervisor for the area. Any additional needs (sound, AV equipment, parking, etc) must be coordinated by the event organizer.
